Soulfood: My food philosophy

As I already mentioned in the part about the origin of this blog, food is love and love is life. Food is a very essential part of life, we need it not only for our body to survive but also for our soul. Soulfood makes us happy and satisfied and supplies our body with energy in order to enable our mind to function properly. This is necessary to make it possible to reach self-awareness and therefore be able to find that pure state of mind which is basically our true nature. So in the process of finding back to our true nature and become one with ourselfs and the universe, food plays a very important part. The other absolutely crucial ingredient to find our true self is love. Love connects us with everything and builds a bridge between the object and our inner self.

---> so: How to create soulfood?

- Cook with love and compassion, it's the essence of Soulfood. You can taste it if the cook had good feelings while cooking. :)

- Use fresh ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, grains, potatoes... I prefer organic, regional and seasonal food. If you are not sure which food is regional or seasonal you can always ask in the store where you buy it. I recommand to buy the cooking ingredients either at an organic store or even better at a market. There you can be sure that the food is regional.

- Don't waste any food. If you cooked to much you can always share the food with your friends, family or some friendly traveller's just as yourself ;) Usually , shared food tastes even better since eating is very social. Or you can put it in the fridge and eat the leftovers on the next day.
