Soulfood: Hot Chestnuts And Apple Sauce

Ingredients: 200 grams of chestnuts with their shells, 3 big apples, some butter,yoghurt or curd, cinnamon and vanilla sugar Amount and time of preparation: with these ingredients you can fill two plates and bowls like on the picture above ;), it takes around 30 minutes to prepare

How to prepare:

1. Start by slicing open the chestnuts and put them into a bowl with warm water for 5 minutes.

2. Then put the chestnuts in the pre-heated oven (200° Celsius) for 15- 20 minutes.

3. In the meantime wash the apples and grate them.

4. Melt some butter in a pan, add the apples and a cup of water and put the heat on low for 10-15 minutes, then sprinkle some vanilla sugar and cinnamon over it.

5. Once the chestnuts and the apple sauce are ready arrange both on a plate and add some yoghurt or curd if you like.

A hot tea rounds up this autumn dish perfectly. Enjoy :)
